Wow those taste buds in Wellers' burbs
Poverty Bay Wine Dinner, Published in Sunday Star Times, May 22 2011
Last Thursday, Coucou Restaurant in Karori, in association with Poverty Bay Wines, hosted an evening of beautiful wine and delicious food influenced by the Bordeaux region of France. The degustation menu, created by chef Jerome Touzard, was nothing short of sensational, matched with superb quality wines from well-known Wellingtonian Klaus Sorensen's Bridge Estate vineyard in Poverty Bay. A fabulous feast of the very best of New Zealand's harvest, coupled with the talent of an amazing chef.
Coucou is a member of the Conscious Consumers initiative which encourages cafes and restaurants to demonstrate a commitment to environmental and socially conscious business practices.

About
Coucou is a family owned community bistro offering both traditional and modern French fare.
Jerome Touzard, the head chef and owner, grew up and trained in France before working his way to the top in some of the best restaurants in London including those at the Savoy, Hilton and Waldorf hotels.
Jerome set up Coucou with the aim of bringing affordable high quality French cuisine to Wellington.

At Coucou we believe the best food starts with the best ingredients. We are a member of the Conscious Consumers initiative and always strive to find the best free range meat and eggs, fresh produce, French cheese and coffee beans available.
Our wine list has a great selection of red, white, bubbly and dessert wines from quality New Zealand and French vineyards.
At all times of the day we aim to provide you with warm service in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Coucou is a great place to hold your next private function, enjoy a family meal or a romantic dinner with that someone special.
